KEPT BY THE POWER OF GOD

A STRUGGLING WORLD

The world has been struggling with the Covid-19 Pandemic for 2 years now. Just as we were thinking that we have turned the corner, then there is news of Omicron. How should we respond to this new threat?

CHOOSING FAITH

Let us choose to exercise faith in the Lord! The Apostle Peter wrote an encouraging letter to believers who were undergoing severe persecution. 

5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 

7 That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honour, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ     1 Peter 1:5-7

  1. Through faith

a) Faith is a precious gift from God

b) Let us use this faith:

i) Determinedly

ii) Decidedly

iii) Daringly

  1. We are kept by the power of God

a) God’s power is at work

b) Let us believe in the Lord and His power with all our heart

TESTED BY FIRE

We may be tested by the stress and strain brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. But we may still do the following things:

  1. Grieved

We may be grieved for a little while

  1. Genuineness

But our Faith in God is genuine

  1. Gold cannot be compared to a tested faith

Our Faith can emerge better than gold!

  1. Glory to God

Let us seek to have a faith that would bring great glory to God!
