BEHOLD, GOD IS MY SALVATION

REJOICING IN GOD

Joy is closely and rightly related to Christmas. There are so many reasons why joy should fill the heart. The prophet Isaiah shares his reasons for the joy in his heart!

1 And in that day you will say:

“O LORD, I will praise You;

Though You were angry with me,

Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.

2 Behold, God is my salvation,

I will trust and not be afraid;

‘For Yah, the LORD, is my strength and song;

He also has become my salvation.’ ”

3 Therefore with joy you will draw water

From the wells of salvation. Isaiah 12:1-3

God’s anger is turned away

He gives comfort instead

In God is the hope of salvation

In God are many blessings that bring joy to the heart

a) He grants strength

b) He gives a song to the heart

APPROPRIATE RESPONSE

How should we respond to God for all the blessings He has bestowed on us?

Let us offer praise to God

Let us exercise trust

Let us not be afraid

Let us seek to live in great joy

Let us draw living water from the wells of salvation
