WE PRAY ALWAYS

Text: 2 Thessalonians 1

A VITAL RESPONSE TO THE 2ND COMING

What is a vital response as we conclude our study concerning the 2nd Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ? We take our cue from the Apostle Paul. Let us seek to “pray always!”

11 Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, 

12 that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.     2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

  1. Prayer is our spiritual lifeline 

a) We need to be in communion with God

b) We need to be in close touch with the Lord diligently

  1. Prayer Contents

a) That God would count us worthy of His calling

i)   Calling to salvation

ii)  Calling to service

b) That God would fulfil all His plans for us

i)   To fulfil the good pleasure of His goodness

ii)  To fulfil the work of faith with His divine power

iii) That we mighty glorify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ

THE GRACE OF GOD

Thank God for His matchless grace! Nothing is done outside the grace of God!

  1. Grace to cope
  1. Grace to bear all tribulation
  1. Grace to triumph
  1. Grace that will redound to the great glory of God and the Lord Jesus Christ!

Let us find grace to pray always!
