NO ONE WHO CAN DELIVER OUT OF MY HAND

Text: Isaiah 43

THE MIGHTY HAND OF GOD

The hand of the LORD was truly all powerful. This was observable and verifiable. The LORD challenged Israel to bear witness of the might of His hand.

10 “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord,
“And My servant whom I have chosen,
That you may know and believe Me,
And understand that I am He.
Before Me there was no God formed,
Nor shall there be after Me.

11 I, even I, am the Lord,
And besides Me there is no saviour.

12 I have declared and saved,
I have proclaimed,
And there was no foreign god among you;
Therefore you are My witnesses,”
Says the Lord, “that I am God.

13 Indeed before the day was, I am He;
And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand;
I work, and who will reverse it?”     Isaiah 43:10-13

  1. The call to be witnesses

a) This was issued to Israel directly

b) It was given to the disciples of the Lord Jesus     Acts 1:8

c) Every believer should be a faithful witness 

  1. Witnesses of the mighty hand of the LORD

a) That the LORD alone is God

b) That He alone is the Saviour

c) That His hand is truly awesome in power

d) No one can deliver out of God’s hand

APPROPRIATE RESPONSE

  1. Let us bear witness faithfully for the LORD
  1. Let us rejoice in our Saviour greatly
  1. Let us speak of the glorious hand of God in our life
