BLESSED BE THE LORD GOD

Text: Psalm 72

IT IS RIGHT TO BLESS THE LORD

We hold our ACM today and it is good and right that we bless the LORD for all that He has done for us. And God has blessed most wonderfully!

17 His name shall endure forever;
His name shall continue as long as the sun.
And men shall be blessed in Him;
All nations shall call Him blessed.

18 Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel,
Who only does wondrous things!

19 And blessed be His glorious name forever!
And let the whole earth be filled with His glory.
Amen and Amen.     Psalm 72:17-19

A MESSIANIC PSALM

Psalm 72 was written by King Solomon. This royal Psalm was Messianic. The focus is on the way the Messiah would rule as King. The Psalm concludes with the above text.

  1. The name of the Lord

a) It shall endure forever

b) All would be blessed in Him

c) All nations would call Him “blessed”

  1. Blessing the LORD God

a) He is the God of Israel

b) He does wondrous things

c) His name is glorious forever

d) The whole earth is filled with His glory

GIVING PRAISE TO THE LORD

It is good and right that we come together at our ACM to give praise and thanks to the LORD.

  1. He has preserved us
  1. He has provided for us
  1. He has graced us with His presence

Let us give thanks for another strongly blessed fiscal year! Let us seek to be faithful and fruitful in ministry always!
