REJOICE IN HOPE

(I) REASONS WHY WE SHOULD REJOICE

1. Justified (Romans 5:1)

a) Our sins are pardoned

b) We stand forgiven

c) We are declared righteous

2. By faith (Romans 5:1)

a) Simple but sincere faith

b) Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ

i) In His dying for us

ii) In the salvation He offers us

iii) In the new life we have in Him

3. Peace with God (Romans 5:1)

a) We are reconciled to God

b) We are restored

c) All through the Lord Jesus Christ

4. Access to God (Romans 5:2)

a) By faith

b) By grace

(II) REJOICING IN HOPE OF THE GLORY OF GOD

1. Understanding the glory of God

a) God will cause His glory to rest upon His house

b) God will cause His glory to rest upon His people

2. Obtaining the glory of God

a) Through abiding in the Lord

b) Through faithful service

c) Through living a life of faith that pleases Him

3. Appreciating the glory of God

a) The blessings of God will abound

b) All these blessings are in the realm of hope

c) These blessings need to be sought

d) Hope must be realised
