(II) THE PLIGHT OF MAN

(III) THE PLAN TO PLACE FULL TRUST IN GOD

1. A Plan that involves deep knowledge of God

a) Where God is

i) God is in His holy Temple ( Psalm 11:4 )

ii) God’s throne is in heaven ( Psalm 11:4 )

b) What God does

i) God’s eyes behold the earth ( Psalm 11:4 )

ii) God’s eyelids test the sons of men ( Psalm 11:4 )

iii) God also tests the righteous ( Psalm 11:5a )

c) What God is like

i) God is righteous ( Psalm 11:7a )

ii)) God loves righteousness ( Psalm 11:7b )

iii) God’s countenance beholds the upright ( Psalm 11:7c )

2. A Plan that involves placing trust in God

a) An act of faith

b) A personal choice

c) A decision that seeks to focus on trusting the Lord

i) For who He is

ii) For what He is known to do with reference to the righteous

iii) For what He is known to do with reference to the wicked

(IV) THE PUNISHMENT OF THE WICKED

1. God hates the violence of the wicked ( Psalm 11:5 )

2. God will punish the wicked ( Psalm 11:6 )
