(II) THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE LIVES OF THE APOSTLES

1. Promised (John 14-16; Acts 1:8)

2. Fulfilled (Acts 2)

3. Features:

a) Empowered to speak foreign languages (Acts 2:4)

b) Filled with the Holy Spirit for ministry (Acts 2:4)


(III) THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN OUR LIFE TODAY

1. Challenge to know

a) That He will give to all who believe in the Lord Jesus

b) That He will indwell all believers

c) That He will play the role that the Lord Jesus Christ had when He was on earth

i) He will teach

ii) He will guide

iii) He will empower


2. Challenge to believe

a) That He will empower us even as we seek Him

b) That He will bring forth rich and significant fruits in our life

c) That He will always lead us throughout life


3. Challenge to have the Life of Christ manifested in our mortal bodies

a) Manifested in effective ministry

b) Manifested in a dynamic life

c) Manifested in knowledge and wisdom
