Dear Parents,

WALKING BLAMELESSLY
This surely must be one of the goals we set for our children! Let us never tire of teaching and guiding our children to walk blamelessly.

Whoever walks blamelessly will be saved,
But he who is perverse in his ways will suddenly fall.

Proverbs 28:18

1. What does it mean to “walk blamelessly”?

a) It does not mean sinless perfection!

b) It means having a good set of morals/principles to live by.

c) It means being true to these principles (Biblical).

d) Thus the individual proves his integrity!

2. What does this phrase mean “(he) will be saved?”

a) This is not a reference to eternal salvation.

b) Otherwise it would mean that we can earn our salvation.

c) It is a reference to “deliverance from trouble”.

d) How would the blameless person be delivered from trouble?

i) The blameless will avoid the usual pitfalls.

ii) He will receive help from well-meaning friends/supporters.

iii) He will obtain special help from God himself.

iv) He will be delivered!

3. What is to be “perverse”?

a) This person deliberately chooses to walk in unrighteousness.

b) He will fall because of his waywardness!
