And by it, killed me.

For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.

But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will
Is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.
For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not do,
That I practise.
Now if I do what I will not do, it is no longer I who do it,
But sin that dwells in me.

Romans 7:17-20

xi) The law of sin

I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.

As instruments of righteousness to God.

Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who
dwells in you.

Romans 8:10-11

i) The Spirit of God will generate new life in the believer

ii) The “new life” in Christ should be different from the “old life”

For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He
makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
