A DAVIDIC PSALM

Psalm 138

FAITH-RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

“I will praise You with my whole heart;
Before the gods I will sing praises to you”               Psalm 138:1

2. Worship

“I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name”              Psalm 138:2a

 

KNOWLEDGE OF GOD
(Experiential)

1. Lovingkindness of God

“I will worship… and praise Your name… for Your lovingkindness”          Psalm 138:2b

2. Truth of God

“For Your… truth”                                               Psalm 138:2b

3. Word of God magnified

“You have magnified Your word above all Your name”                                Psalm 138:2

4. Prayer-answering God

“In the day when I cried out, You answered me”                                           Psalm 138:3a

5. Strength-giving God

“And made me bold with strength in my soul”                                              Psalm 138:3b

6. Greatness of the Glory of God

“Great is the glory of God”                                                                      Psalm 138:5

7. Majesty of God

“The LORD is on high”                                                                            Psalm 138:6a

8. Graciousness of God

“Yet He regards the lowly”                                                                       Psalm 138:6b

LIFE ON EARTH

1. Trouble

“I walk in the midst of trouble”                               Psalm 138:7a

2. Enemies

“The wrath of my enemies”                                     Psalm 138:7b

 

GOD’S WORK IN OUR LIFE

1. Revival amidst trouble

“Though I walk in the midst of trouble,

You will revive me”                                                 Psalm 138:7a

2. Protection from enemies

“You will stretch out Your hand

Against the wrath of my enemies”                            Psalm 138:7b

3. Deliverance from enemies

“And Your right hand will save me”                        Psalm 138:7c

4. Work of Perfecting

“The LORD will perfect that which concerns me”    Psalm 138:8a
