The place of wisdom

There are different things in life that we would consider as vital. Some of these things may include family, friends and career. But what is the place of wisdom in our lives? Where does it rank among all the things that we deem important?

The writer of Proverbs made a clear declaration as to where the place of wisdom should be, “Wisdom is the principal thing.” (Proverbs 4:7) Solomon recognised that wisdom is the principal thing that we should have in our lives. It indicates that wisdom should rank as first and foremost among all other things. It should be regarded as the most important thing and priority should be given towards it. The challenge is for us to make wisdom principal in all aspects of our lives. Whether it has to do with our personal lives, relationships or work, wisdom should be regarded as first and foremost.
