Enter Into His Gates With Thanksgiving

This was a beautiful church we visited in Nantes, a city in western France. A common sight in European cities, these churches are usually built with a strong focus on physical beauty and architecture. I particularly like observing how sunlight streams through the stained glass panels and into the church, emphasizing the beautifully sculpted arches.

While physically beautiful, majority of the churches are Roman Catholic. It is hard to find a Protestant church to worship at, particularly in France, and so I constantly long for the comfort and warmth of Bethany back in Singapore. I truly miss worshipping God together, being taught God’s Word and partaking in heartfelt fellowship with His people.

Psalm 100:4-5 reads:

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him,
And bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.

Being in France on exchange means that I can’t physically be in Bethany, but that has not stopped me from experiencing God’s love through His people, and the guidance that He gives through His Word taught weekly.

As we celebrate the completion of the A&A project, I cannot help but be filled with praise to God for the goodness He has shown us throughout this period, as well as in my life through Bethany. I truly look forward to being back with all of you at Bethany!
