Text: Daniel 10:1-21
Dear Young People,
ANGELIC INVOLVEMENT
One of the most precious truths we will find in the Lord’s Word is that angels are involved in helping us. We may not see them. We may not talk to them as Daniel did. However, the Scriptures tell us that they are involved in our lives.
The teaching angel in his parting words to Daniel said,
“Do you know why I have come to you?”
Daniel 10:20
The angel had come to do a number of things for Daniel:-
1. The ministry of Teaching
He has come to explain the meaning of the vision God gave to Daniel. He was teaching Daniel.
2. The ministry of Strengthening
This came by way of giving a word of encouragement to Daniel.
3. The Ministry of spiritual warfare
We may not know the full extent of what this spiritual warfare is all about, but we know enough that angels are engaged in a titanic battle against demonic spirits.
Let us draw special encouragement from this familiar text found in the Book of Hebrews.
“Are they not all ministering spirits
sent forth to minister for those who will
inherit salvation.”
Hebrews 1:14
Angels are God’s special ministering spirits to all who are truly His children. Let us draw great encouragement and strength from this truth.
AN ENDLESS SPIRITUAL BATTLE
As the angel spoke to Daniel, he explained more about spiritual warfare.
“And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia;
and when I have gone forth, indeed the prince of Greece
will come.
But I will tell you what is noted in the Scriptures of Truth.
(No one upholds me against these, except Michael your prince).
Daniel 10:20,21
This was a glimpse of a great and endless spiritual battle. One spirit after another will arise to give battle! Let us seek to be more conscious of the spiritual world.
