“OR HOW THE BONES GROW IN THE WOMB OF HER WHO IS WITH CHILD?”

This is a picture of little Joshua in the womb of Jermaine Tang (Photo used with permission from the parents). This photo was taken when Joshua was 24 weeks old. One of the most amazing creations of God is the human being. How does a little foetus grow in the womb of a woman? It is truly a wonder.
As you do not know the way of the wind, or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child…” Ecclesiastes 11:5
Of course, during the times of Solomon, he did not have much understanding concerning how a baby grows in the womb or how the wind blows. With modern science, we have a better understanding concerning how these things work. And yet, there are still many things that we do not know about fetal growth and development. As much as we are limited in our knowledge of the way of the wind and how bones grow in the womb, we also do not fully understand the works of God who is the Creator of all things.
“THE WORKS OF GOD WHO MAKES EVERYTHING”
So you do not know the works of God who makes everything.” Ecclesiastes 11:5
It is humbling to know that God’s ways and works are far greater than ours. Besides just the physical aspects of fetal development, there are non-physical aspects that God has a hand in creating within a baby. There is the personality and character of a child. It is the Lord God who creates within a child a certain personality; some are more introvert and some extrovert. It can also be observed how a child can take on certain personality traits of parents. How do all these things work out? We really do not know. It is God who makes all things including our character and personality traits. Each one of us is made different and special in His sight. It is a great wonder how God oversees the development of all these things within each baby. Let’s stand in awe at God’s great work of creating mankind and in creating each one of us uniquely. Let’s be truly humble before our Maker and our God.
