Faith in God’s Perfect Plan of Salvation

UNDERSTANDING GOD’S FULL PLAN OF SALVATION

God’s plan of salvation is far more than just a point of time in believing in Jesus. It is truly amazing and wonderful. There are different aspects to God’s plan of Salvation

1. CONCEPT OF THE PLAN OF SALVATION

a. Salvation was conceived in God’s mind even before time began.

b. The Lord had chosen us before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4).

c. He predestined us to be adopted as His sons (Ephesians 1:5).

d. This is according to the good pleasure of His will (Ephesians 1:5).

2. COMMENCEMENT POINT OF SALVATION FOR INDIVIDUALS

a. This is the point when we first receive the Lord Jesus as our Saviour.

b. When we have faith in Jesus, we have redemption through His blood (Ephesians 1:7).

c. There is the forgiveness of sins.

d. He made His grace to be given to us individually through His wisdom and prudence.

3. COMMITMENT OF LIFE AFTER RECEIVING SALVATION

a. With salvation, there comes a sense of purpose for our life.

b. We are meant to be holy and blameless before the Lord in love (Ephesians 1:4).

c. We are as sons are meant to be to the praise of the glory of His grace (Ephesians 1:6).

4. CULMINATION OF THE PLAN OF SALVATION

“That in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which in heaven and which are on earth – in Him.”
Ephesians 1:10

a. God’s plan of salvation will come to a culminating point when He will gather everyone and all things together.

b. This will be according to the Lord’s perfect timing in the future.

c. He would manage all things in such a way that everything and everyone who has faith would be reconciled as one entity.

i. Everyone in heaven and on earth who believe will be joined as one united family under heaven.

ii. Israel and the Church would be one.

d. This brings a tremendous sense of hope in our heart.

EVERYTHING CENTRED IN CHRIST

“In Him”
Ephesians 1:10

1. EVERYTHING WE HAVE IS LOCATED AND CENTRED IN CHRIST

a. All the spiritual blessings in the heavenly places comes about in Christ.

b. This great spiritual event will come to pass because of the Lord Jesus.

2. IT IS IN THE PERSON OF THE LORD JESUS

a. It is through His blood.

b. His lordship is to be recognised.

3. ALL THINGS WOULD BE RECONCILED IN HIM

Let’s stand in awe of the glory of the Lord Jesus. May the Lord Jesus loom so much greater in our heart and life. Let’s exercise greater faith and hope in Him.
