Thanking God For Another Year Of Ministry At YPG

Last Saturday’s combined YPG meeting was our last formal meeting for the year. We have come to the conclusion of yet another year of ministry at the youth level. We want to remember how the Lord has been good and merciful to us. We must not take for granted the involvement of the Lord’s hand in blessing our youth programme. We also thank God for sustaining all YPG com members in serving in this area of work for yet another year. We truly thank God for all the hard work put in by each one.

November – A Month Of Pre-Conference Specials

It is never too early to prepare for Youth Conference. The Youth Conference committee is planning a series of pre-conference specials for the month of November. These meetings would be held on Saturdays at 3pm to help us prepare for the Youth Conference in December. The planned programmes are as follows:

1st November – Songs Based Programme

This will be a time of learning new songs and having a sing-along-session.

8th November – Programme Gearing Towards Newcomers

This meeting is to introduce newcomers to what Youth Conference is about.

15th November – Programme To Introduce The New Leaders

This programme would see us getting to know the 9 new leaders who would be leading Youth Conference 2008.

22nd November – Programme To Introduce The Theme ‘Be Strong’

These programmes have been planned for us to prepare our hearts for the Youth Conference. Let’s take the time to come and be part of the planned programmes.

Coming Together To Sing New Songs

“O sing to the Lord a new song!
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, bless His name” 
Psalm 96:1-2

The Psalmist made a call to all to sing and to praise the Lord. We are to sing to the Lord a new song. We are to sing to the Lord and give glory and praise to His name. This is exactly what we will be doing at this Saturday’s programme. If our hearts truly appreciate who God is and what He has done for us, we will grab at every opportunity to praise His name. We wil be learning new songs that we can glorify God with at Youth Conference. The Lord is truly a righteous God. Let’s make every effort to come together and give praise and honour to Him in song.
