TAKING TIME TO REVIEW
We have come to the end of 2 Timothy 4. Once again, it is good for us to review what we have learnt. The context of 2 Timothy 4 is one where Paul was warning Timothy of the coming apostasy. False teachers will turn aside from the truth towards fables. They will not continue in sound doctrine. The challenge for Timothy was to ensure that the preaching of the truth of the word of God would continue no matter what. Paul had done his part in being faithful to the Lord and the ministry entrusted to him. It was now for Timothy to continue the work.

FINAL BENEDICTION
I hope you had a good time of reviewing 2 Timothy 4. Paul certainly finished the race of life well. May we all seek to follow his example in life and in ministry. Paul ended his last epistle with a final benediction for Timothy.
“The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.”
2 Timothy 4:22
These were two most apt things that Paul could wish for at this point of time. Firstly, Timothy was to be conscious of the presence of the Lord. The Lord Jesus Christ was going to be with him even as he sought to stand against false teachings. Secondly, he was to depend on the grace of God. It was solely by the grace of God that Paul became what he was (1 Corinthians 15:10). He laboured hard through relying on grace. Let’s seek to be conscious of the Lord’s presence. Let’s seek to depend even more on His grace.
