Facing Crossroads Of Life

What do we do when we come to the crossroads of life? It is hard sometimes to determine which way we should go. Furthermore, we are fearful of making the wrong decision. The consequences of making mistakes can be most daunting. The challenge for us is to learn to turn to the Lord for His leading.

Heartfelt Praying To God As Our Teacher

“Show me Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths.
Lead me in Your truth and teach me…”

Psalm 25:4-5

How can we pray for the Lord’s leading? Firstly, there is a need for us to have a general knowledge of His ways. Without a framework of God’s will, it will be hard for us to go on to the next step. Secondly, there is a need for the Lord to teach more specifically His paths. The Lord has to instruct us of the paths that He wants us to take. Thirdly, we need the Lord to actually lead us according to His truths. The leading of the Lord is so important. Young people, as we come to crossroads of life, do we know how to seek and trust His leading?

Practical Ways By Which The Lord Can Teach Us

What are some of the practical ways in which the Lord can teach and lead us?

1. Through Servants Of God

The Lord does teach us through human agents. It is through Pastors, dedicated Sunday School teachers and godly parents whom the Lord would use to teach and guide us. They have more wisdom and knowledge of the Scriptures than most young people. You can seek insight and guidance from them.

2. Through Teaching Ourselves

The Lord also teaches us as we take time to meditate and think through what we have learned. Journaling is a good way by which we can teach ourselves through reflecting on the word of God.

3. Through The Bethany Website

Last but not least, the Lord teaches us through the reading of articles from the Bethany website. There are tons of materials on this website. The Lord will teach us much if we take the time to read and seek to practise the truths we have learned. Let’s seek the Lord so much more as our Teacher and Guide for our lives.
