1. Prisoners

2. Jailed for offending the Pharaoh (king) (Genesis 40:1-2)
3. Joseph looked after them when they were in prison (Genesis 40:3)
4. Dreams shared with Joseph
a) Chief Butler
i) Vine with three branches (Genesis 40:9-10)
ii) Grapes were made into wine and served to Pharaoh (Genesis 40:11)
iii) In three days the butler would be serving the Pharaoh again (Genesis 40:12-13)
iv) Joseph asked to be remembered (Genesis 40:14-15)
b) Chief Baker
i) Three white baskets on the head (Genesis 40:17)
ii) Birds of the air ate up all the bread (Genesis 40:18)
iii) The Baker will be executed by the Pharaoh (Genesis 40:19)
5. Fulfilment of the dreams as Joseph had interpreted
a) Celebration of the Pharaoh’s birthday (Genesis 40:20a)
b) The Chief butler was re-instated (Genesis 40:20b)
c) The Chief baker was hanged (Genesis 40:22)
