THE RIGHT APPROACH

1. No mercy

2. No marriages   (Deuteronomy 7:3)

3. Danger highlighted

a) The sons will be turned away from following the Lord God

b) God’s anger will be aroused

c) They will be destroyed   (Deuteronomy 7:4)

4. Destruction

a) The altars of the enemies

b) Breaking down of the sacred pillars

c) Cutting down of their wooden images

d) Burning of the carved images   (Deuteronomy 7:5)
