(I) THE PASSOVER
1. To be kept as a Memorial feast
2. To the Lord
3. For all generations
4. An everlasting ordinance (Exodus 12:14, 17)
(II) THE FEAST OF THE UNLEAVENED BREAD
1. Seven day feast
a) First day all leaven must be removed from the home
b) No eating of leavened bread for one week
c) Penalty: Cut off from Israel (Exodus 12:15, 19)
d) Symbolic significance of Unleavened Bread
i) Holy
ii) Consecrated
2. Holy convocation
a) First day
b) Seventh day (Exodus 12:16)
c) No work on Convocation days (Exodus 12:16)
3. Things to be remembered
a) Brought out of Egypt
b) “Armies” brought out
4. 14th-21st Day
a) Nothing leavened to be eaten (Exodus 12:18)
b) No leaven to be found in the home (Exodus 12:19-20)
(III) THE PASSOVER LAMB
1. Instruction to the leaders (elders) (Exodus 12:21)
a) Passover Lamb to be killed (Exodus 12:21)
b) Blood of the lamb
i) Hyssop (Exodus 12:22)
ii) Dipped in blood (Exodus 12:22)
iii) Door posts and lintel (Exodus 12:22)
2. No one to be on the street as God pass over Egypt
a) The destroyer (Angel of death) (Exodus 12:23)
b) No one to stir outside the house (Exodus 12:22)
(IV) FOR POSTERITY
1. As an ordinance for your sons forever (Exodus 12:24)
2. To be kept in the Promised Land (Exodus 12:25)
a) Query by the children concerning the Passover (Exodus 12:26)
b) Answer to the children
i) To commemorate the Lord passing over Egypt (Exodus 12:27)
ii) Egyptians struck
