MISCELLANEOUS LAWS
A) THE DEATH PENALTY
1. When a fight ensues and death results
a) If it is premeditated murder Exodus 21:14
b) He will deserve the death penalty Exodus 21:14
c) If there is no premeditation
A place of refuge will be provided Exodus 21:13
2. With reference to the father or mother
a) Striking Exodus 21:15
b) Cursing Exodus 21:17

3. Kidnapping and slavery

B) OTHER PENALTIES
1. Serious injury but not death
2. Compensation
a) For loss of time
b) For medical treatment Exodus 21:18-19
C) ILL-TREATMENT OF SERVANTS
1. The servant dies because of beating Exodus 21:20
2. The owner may be punished Exodus 21:20
3. But if the servant does not die
a) The owner will not be punished
b) The slave is his property Exodus 21:21
c) If he blinds the servant, that servant will be set free Exodus 21:26
d) If he knocks out the teeth of the servant, the servant goes free Exodus 21:27
D. INJURY TO A PREGNANT BY-STANDER
1. They will be punished Exodus 21:22
2. The lady gives birth prematurely because of suffering injury Exodus 21:22
3. The husband of the pregnant woman may demand reasonable compensation Exodus 21:22
4. The judges will decide on what is equitable Exodus 21:22
5. But is there is serious injury:
a) Life for life
b) Eye for eye
c) Tooth for tooth
d) Hand for hand
e) Foot for foot
f) Burn for burn
g) Wound for wound
h) Stripe forb stripe Exodus 21:23-25
