a) Moses alone shall come near the Lord   Exodus 24:2

b) The others shall not come near   Exodus 24:2

4. The children of Israel

They are not allowed to ascend the mountain   Exodus 24:2

MOSES AND THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL

1. He came and spoke to all the people   Exodus 24:3

2. The people responded with one voice

BUILDING OF AN ALTAR

1. Moses built an altar at the foot of the hill   Exodus 24:4

2. Twelve pillars representing Israel was erected   Exodus 24:4

3. Offerings were made   Exodus 24:5

b) Peace offerings

4. Blood of the animals slain

a) Sprinkled on the altar   Exodus 24:6

b) Sprinkled on the people   Exodus 24:8

5. Proclamation

“This is the blood of the covenant which the LORD has made with you according to these words.”   Exodus 24:8
