TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION   

CONTEXT OF ISAIAH 30

  1. Israel described                         (Isaiah 30:1, 9-11)

a) Rebellious
b) Lying
c) Refuse to hear the law of God            ( Isaiah 30:9)
d) Despising of God’s word                      ( Isaiah 30:12)
  1. Choices made

a) Counsel- not from God                             (Isaiah 30:1)
b) Plans- but not of God’s Spirit                 (Isaiah 30:1)
c) No seeking of advice from God              (Isaiah 30:2)
d) Choosing Egypt                                            (Isaiah 30:2-7)
  1. God’s Word given

a) In returning to the Lord
b) In resting in Him
c) In quietness and confidence                   (Isaiah 30:15)
  1. God’s grace and mercy shown

a) The Lord will wait                                       (Isaiah 30:18)
b) He will wait for Israel to return             (Isaiah 30:18)
c) And to call on Him                                        (Isaiah 30:19)

MANY BLESSINGS FROM THE LORD PROMISED                 

Isaiah 30:18-30

  1. He will hear and answer prayers            (Isaiah 30:19)

  1. He will give Teachers                                   (Isaiah 30:20-21)

GOD’S PROVISION OF TEACHERS

  1. He will give sound and solid teachers

Yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore              (Isaiah 30:20b)
  1. Israel will see its teachers

But your eyes shall see your teachers                                                          (Isaiah 30:20c)
  1. The nation will hear its teachers

Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,
“This is the way, walk in it,”
Whenever you turn to the right hand
Or whenever you turn to the left.                                                                    (Isaiah 30:21)
  1. Taught by the LORD

All your children shall be taught by the LORD,
And great shall be the peace of your children.                                            (Isaiah 54:13)
