a) As seen in history

b) As listed in the Scriptures

2. A reflection of God’s power

a) Unprecedented power seen.

b) Unmatched power seen

c) Unlimited power seen

(II) THE PEOPLE WHO CAN DECLARE ABOUT THE POWERFUL ACTS OF GOD

“Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? Who can declare all His praise?” Psalm 106:2

1. The Psalmist used rhetorical questions concerning the acts of God

2. The obvious answer is that not everyone can speak of all the mighty acts of God

3. Yet there are some who will be able to declare His mighty deeds

(III) THE PERCEPTION TO SEE THE MIGHTY WORKS OF GOD

1. An invitation to see the mighty works of God

“Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men. He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot. There we will rejoice in Him. He rules by His power forever;” Psalm 66:5-7

2. Not seeing things just physically

“Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life.” Deuteronomy 4:9

3. To see with Spiritual perception

“Now Moses called all Israel and said to them: “You have seen all that the Lord did before your eyes in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land— the great trials which your eyes have seen, the signs, and those great wonders. Yet the Lord has not given you a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this very day.” Deuteronomy 29:2-4

4. In order to declare God’s awesome works

“Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth! Sing out the honor of His name; make His praise glorious. Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.” Psalm 66:1

(IV) OUR PERSONAL LIFESTYLE IN RELATION TO HIS MIGHTY WORKS

1. Our personal life affects how God does His mighty works

“Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for my soul. I cried to Him with my mouth, and He was extolled with my tongue. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear. But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.” Psalm 66:16-19

2. The challenge of living a righteous life

“Blessed are those who keep justice, and he who does righteousness at all times!” Psalm 106:3

3. Yet we recognise our sinfulness

“We have sinned with our fathers, We have committed iniquity, We have done wickedly.” Psalm 106:6

4. “Remember me”…a humble plea

“Remember me, O Lord, with the favor You have toward Your people. Oh, visit me with Your salvation, that I may see the benefit of Your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, that I may glory with Your inheritance.” Psalm 106:4, 5

(V) PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING FOR GOD AND HIS MIGHT ACTS

“Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? Who can declare all His praise?” Psalm 106:2

“Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” Psalm 106:1

1. The goodness of God

2. The mercy of God
