(I) A DECLARATION OF FULL TRUST IN GOD

1. Trusting in God

Declaring God to be our Lord (Psalm 16:2)

2. Trusting in God’s provision

“O LORD, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup” Psalm 16:5

b) Thanking God for His “inheritance”

(II) THE PRACTICE OF TRUST IN THE LORD

1. Getting counsel from the Lord (Psalm 16:7)

2. Instruction from our heart in the night seasons (Psalm 16:7)

a) Meditation

b) Prayer

3. Setting the Lord always before us (Psalm 16:8)

a) He is at our right hand

b) We are unmoved

(III) RESULT OF TRUSTING IN THE LORD

1. Gladness of heart (Psalm 16:9)

2. Rejoicing in the Lord (Psalm 16:9)

3. Confidence in the Lord (Psalm 16:9-10)

a) Rest in God

b) Hope in God

4. God’s blessing in life (Psalm 16:11)
