(I) A DEADLY AND WICKED DECREE
1. Pharaoh’s decree to the Midwives
“If it is a son, then you shall kill him…” Exodus 1:16
2. Problem of the Pharaoh
“The people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we…” Exodus 1:9
(II) DIVINE PROTECTION
1. God-fearing midwives
“The midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive.” Exodus 1:17
2. Strong and healthy mothers
“The Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women; for they are lively and give birth before the midwives come to them.” Exodus 1:19
3. Loving parents
“And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months” Exodus 2:2
4. Unexpected royal adoptive mother
“The daughter of the Pharaoh…saw the child… had compassion on him” Exodus 2:5-6
(III) DIVINE PLAN
1. Moses was saved from certain death when he was but an infant
2. He was especially protected from any harm or danger as he grew up- being of the royal Egyptian household
a) He would otherwise have been a slave
b) He could have died while serving under cruel bondage
3. God’s Divine plan was for him to become the deliverer of Israel from the tyranny of Egypt
4. That Divine plan existed even before Moses understood it
(IV) OUR CHALLENGE TO COMPRHEND AND FULFIL A DIVINE DESTINY

a) To be discovered
b) As God’s plans are revealed and they are unfolded
3. Our Challenge is to fulfill our part in the fulfillment of a Divine Destiny
a) As Caregivers (medical professional caregivers)
b) As Parents
c) Adoptive parents (god-parents)
