AN ANALYSIS OF DANIEL’S PRAYER III
To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him.
We have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the prophets.
Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your law, and has departed so as not to obey Your voice, therefore the curse and the oath written in the law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against Him. Daniel 9:9-11
1. Deeper confession
a) Rebellion against God
b) Disobedience to the voice of the Lord God
c) Not walking in His laws
d) Transgression of the laws
e) Departed from God
f) Sinned against the Lord
2. Guilt
a) All Israel
b) Kings, princes, fathers etc Daniel 9:7-8
3. The punishment God meted out
a) According to the curse
b) According to the oath
c) According to all that is written in the law of Moses
