WORSHIP IN THE CONTEXT OF A COVENANT
1. God’s Word communicated by Moses Exodus 24:3a
a) All the words of the LORD

a) All the people answered with one voice
b) All the words of the LORD has said we will do
3. Writing down the words of the Lord Exodus 24:4
BUILDING OF AN ALTAR BY MOSES
1. At the foot of the mountain
2. Twelve pillars were set up Exodus 24:4
3. Altar sacrifices Exodus 24:5
a) Burnt offerings
b) Peace offerings
c) Offering of oxen
4. Blood of the oxen collected in basins
a) Sprinkling of the blood on the altar Exodus 24:6
b) Sprinkling of the blood on the people Exodus 24:8a
5. Proclamation
a) This is the blood of the Covenant Exodus 24:8b
b) This is a covenant between the Lord and His people according to these words Exodus 28:8c
A SPECIAL MANIFESTATION OF GOD
1. They saw the God of Israel Exodus 24:10, 11
2. Under His feet a paved work of sapphire stone Exodus 24:10
Like the heavens in its clarity
3. They ate and drank Exodus 24:11
