CONTENT

a) Strong encouragement
b) Sound advice to trust the Lord amidst evil in the world
RESPONSE TO THE WICKED
1. They are described as “workers of iniquity” (Psalm 37:1)
2. Strong encouragement
a) No need to feel fretful
b) Not need to be envious either (Psalm 37:2)
3. The fate of the wicked
a) They are compared to grass that would soon be cut (Psalm 37:2a)
b) They would wither away as the green herb (Psalm 37:2b)
WISE ADMONITION GIVEN
1. To trust in the LORD (Psalm 37:3a)
2. To do what is good (Psalm 37:3b)
3. To dwell in the land (Psalm 37:3c)
(No need to flee)
4. To feed on God’s faithfulness (Psalm 37:3d)
5. To delight in the LORD (Psalm 37:4a)
6. To commit all ways to the LORD with trust (Psalm 37:5a)
ASSURANCE IN THE HEART
1. The LORD will give the desires of the heart (Psalm 37:4b)
2. The Lord will bring His will to pass (Psalm 37:5b)
3. He will bring our righteousness as the light (Psalm 37:6a)
4. The justice of the righteous shall be as noonday (Psalm 37:6b)
