2. To establish the sovereignty of Israel

3. To protect the interests of the nation

4. To establish justice and security

THE LORD’S HAND OF INVOLVEMENT

1. This has to be sought

2. This has to be sought in prayer

a) In humility
b) In faith
c) For strength
d) For victory

THE LORD’S ENABLING ACKNOWLEDGED

1. Enemies

a) Pursued
b) Overtaken
c) Till they were destroyed   (Psalm 18:37-38, 41-42)

2. Acknowledgment

a) The strength of the Lord   (Psalm 18:39)
b) The Lord in giving the enemies over   (Psalm 18:40)
c) Deliverance from strivings of the people   (Psalm 18:43)
d) Made head of the nation   (Psalm 18:43)
e) Foreigners submitted themselves to David   (Psalm 18:45)
