THE DOCTRINE OF JUDGMENT

1. Taught in the Old Testament

a) By the Lord Jesus Christ
Judgment committed to the Son (John 5:22)

i) Romans 1-2

The Lord comes to execute judgment (Jude 14-15)

HOW WOULD GOD JUDGE?

1. Judge by the law (Romans 2:12)

a) Those who know the law

b) Jews

2. Judge without the law (of God)

a) They do not have the law (Romans 2:14)

b) By nature do the things of the law (Romans 2:14)

c) These are laws to themselves (Romans 2:14)

d) Laws written in the heart (Romans 2:14)

e) The conscience bearing witness (Romans 2:15)

i) Thoughts accusing

ii) Thoughts excusing

d) All the secrets of men (Romans 2:16)

3. Judge by the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Romans 2:16)

a) All judgment committed to Jesus Christ (John 5:22)

b) Shall not come to judgment (John 5:24)

i) He who hears My word

ii) Believes in Him who sent Me

iii) Shall not come into judgment

iv) Has passed from death to life

4. The Gospel of God (Romans 1:1)

5. Justified through Believing in the Gospel

6. Checking our Salvation
