PAULINE DESCRIPTION OF THE NEW (DIVINE) NATURE

And that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness

Ephesians 4:24

And have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him

Colossians 3:10

1. A new work of creation by God

2. The new work: “The New Man”

3. Created according to God

CULTIVATION OF THE NEW (DIVINE) NATURE

But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and been taught by Him

Ephesians 4:20

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind

MANIFESTATIONS OF THE NEW NATURE

1. Speaking truth            Ephesians 4:25

2. Not giving to wrath            Ephesians 4:26

3. Not given place to the devil            Ephesians 4:27

4. Choosing to work hard            Ephesians 4:28

5. Choosing to edify with good words            Ephesians 4:29

6. Seeking to be a sharer of grace            Ephesians 4:29

7. Not grieving the Holy Spirit            Ephesians 4:29

8. Kindness shown to each other            Ephesians 4:32

9. Tenderhearted            Ephesians 4:32

10. Forgiving            Ephesians 4:32

A GREAT CHALLENGE TO CULTIVATE THE NEW (DIVINE) NATURE

1. Cultivated through knowledge

2. Consciousness of application

3. Concerted effort to be made
