ASSURANCE OF THE LORD’S FAITHFULNESS IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE

But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
2 Thes. 3:3

1. The Lord’s faithfulness as a basis in spiritual warfare

2. There will constantly be spiritual opposition

3. The things the Lord would do

a. Establish us

b. Guard us from the evil one

HAVING CONFIDENCE IN THE LORD

And we have this confidence in the Lord concerning you, both that you do and will do the things we command you.
2 Thes. 3:4

1. God’s faithfulness brings about confidence

2. Confidence in the Lord concerning the responses of the Church

a. With reference to doing His work

b. With reference to being obedient to the commands of God’s servants

PRAYER FOR THE LORD’S LEADING

Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.
