APPRECIATING THE SUFFERING OF JESUS

1. Like sheep we have gone astray          Isaiah 53:6a

2. We have chosen to walk in our own ways

b) Assessment by God          (Cf. Psalm 14)

3. Suffering was laid on the Lord Jesus

a) It should have been laid on us

b) We ought to have borne the penalty of our sins

c) But the Lord Jesus took all the penalty on Himself
