APPLICATION OF THE DOCTRINE OF PROTECTION

1. All doctrines may be applied to our life

3. It would be good for Abram and also for King David!

LEARNING HOW KING DAVID APPLIED THIS TRUTH IN HIS LIFE

1. Believing in Personal Protection from enemies

My glory and the One who lifts up my head.

And He heard me from His holy hill.

b) He prayed with faith in his heart

2. Trusting in Protection of God’s People

11 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name
Be joyful in You.
12 For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield.
Psalm 5:11-12

a) Trusting in God’s defence
b) God will be a shield to the righteous

3. Rejoicing in God’s Protection

6 Blessed be the LORD,
Because He has heard the voice of my supplications!

My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.
Psalm 28:6-7

b) Praising the LORD
