A GREAT LIGHT
Isaiah declared a sad prophecy;
He had seen a vision of Galilee.
The land would be conquered;
Many hearts were greatly embittered.
The land would be covered in darkness;
Many would be living in wretchedness.
Oppression would be felt strongly;
Many had lost essential spirituality.
God’s grace and mercy would be needed;
A Saviour would be sent to them, empowered.
He would be like a Great Light that shines;
It would dispel the darkness that blinds.
God would send His Messiah as His servant;
The Spirit of God will be His accompaniment.
He will be anointed to serve as the faithful Messiah;
He would come and be mankind’s true Saviour.
