RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALL BE THE BELT OF HIS LOINS
A major characteristic of the Messiah was revealed;
His great righteousness would not be concealed.
His ministry would involve delicate judgment;
But His righteousness would aid His discernment.
He would not judge anyone superficially;
He would not decide by hearing or seeing only.
He would be guided by wisdom given by God;
He would possess fully the fear of the LORD.
Faithfulness would be His focus every day;
He would faithfully seek God along the way.
The LORD would be there to accompany Him;
He would never yield to temptation or sin.
He would bring in the New Covenant;
This would be a glorious fulfilment
To the Gentiles He would be the Light;
He would be given both grace and might.
