THE CALL TO LOVE AND SERVE GOD
A Holy Communion Poem
The Call to serve the LORD is good and correct;
He is the LORD our God, and on Him we must reflect.
It is He who has blessed us with all that we possess;
He has also promised that He would continue to bless!
How should we respond to such a great and wonderful God?
Our hearts must well up with joyous love for the LORD.
To walk in all His ways would be the path of wisdom;
We will discover even more, how He is truly awesome.
To fear the Lord should be the most natural response of the soul;
He is the Creator God, the Redeemer who makes us whole!
To keep His commandments and statutes would result in blessing;
May we serve the Lord with deep love and our whole being!
The heart is moved that the LORD would have us Him serve at all;
Despite our weaknesses, the LORD has extended to us His Call.
Let us learn how we may serve Him with honour and dignity;
May we always serve the LORD with all our heart’s integrity!
