#2: THE DAY OF SMALL THINGS (Bethany 1: 1973-1994)
Bethany began as a little house Church many years ago,
We had very little of anything, except the desire to grow.
The Word of the LORD, not to despise small things was heeded,
We focused on growing faith, trusting Him for all we needed.
The promise of Grace was what God had given in wisdom and love,
We trusted and saw that He could open windows from heaven above!
The power of the Spirit of God was sought humbly in prayer,
How wonderful to look back and know that He was always there!
The Lord added to the Church those whom He was saving from sin,
Each soul won to the Lord caused joy to arise from the soul within.
The focus was to bear witness of our faith in Christ our Saviour,
The LORD has truly blessed all our efforts and all our endeavours!
We bear witness of the grace and power of God given to Bethany,
As we dedicate the Church, we cannot but desire to give God the glory!
The Church is His, right from the very start, and this we proclaim,
We will seek always to extol the LORD and give glory to His holy Name.
