HE SAID, BEHOLD, I HAVE COME
Not too many people are careful with the words they say,
Words are spoken, promises made, but fulfilment is kept at bay.
But when Jesus came, He said, “Behold, I have come.”
To obey His Father completely- that was the total sum!
Each and every word He uttered revealed such wondrous grace,
The people who heard Him, they could not but be truly amazed!
No one had ever spoken like the Son of Man, the Son of God!
The Gospel writers determined to write an inspired record!
Jesus had come to bring needed-salvation to the fearful soul,
He had to defeat Satan the Devil, to reach the desired goal!
So many were enslaved by fear and they were badly entrapped,
Jesus had come to give freedom, the chains of sin He snapped!
Jesus knew what it would take to give salvation to sinful man,
He would have to endure great suffering according to God’s plan.
He would have to give everything just to redeem man’s lost soul,
The price was costly! But He thought it worthwhile- to make man whole!
