THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION
The Lord has wonderfully given us a great Salvation;
In His power, he wrought our undeserved Redemption.
He kindly took us out from a world of darkest sin;
He went on to do a work of the deepest cleansing.
He did not stop there but gave to us wonderful provision;
The best of food and wine were given without restriction.
Everything that the heart desires was graciously provided;
The heart should be filled with joy for such blessings extended.
But the human heart can turn around and be ungrateful;
Of the Lord’s blessings, the soul can be quite disdainful.
The Lord and all His blessings can be lightly esteemed;
The wicked heart can return to the old ways of dark sin!
The Lord is truly the great Rock of our Salvation!
May we seek to deepen our sense of appreciation!
Let us take time to recall the Lord’s many blessings;
May our heart be filled with great joy and thanksgiving!
