I WILL POUR OUT MY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is Himself truly Deity;
He has all the powers of the holy Trinity.
He is vitally involved in our Salvation;
He helps us in our Sanctification!
The LORD promised a special outpouring;
This was proclaimed by prophetic preaching.
The prophet Joel preached this word mightily;
But few understood this message, sadly.
The Disciples of the Lord Jesus were well-taught;
The fire of the Holy Spirit was gladly caught.
These Disciples were especially empowered;
Upon them the Spirit of God was showered!
The same Holy Spirit is given to every believer;
He is both the Seal and the Guarantee forever.
We need never fear the loss of our salvation;
All who believe will not receive condemnation.
