A STILL SMALL VOICE

Sometimes in life, hard decisions need to be made;

Opinions will differ but prudence must be displayed.

The personal perspective can be very strong;

But it can also be sadly mistaken and wrong.

Attending Church has been so much a part of our life;

Being in Church brings peace and joy, and respite from strife.

There is inspiration to be drawn from the Word of God taught;

Faith is uplifted and a desire to live well is wonderfully caught.

But that there is danger cannot be ignored and set aside easily;

The possible loss of life will weigh on the heart very heavily.

What if children become sick and older people become very ill?

The Lord speaks to our heart and He commands, “Be still!”

The LORD’s presence may not always be found in the spectacular;

His power is easily observed in the Wind, the Earthquake, the Fire.

But the LORD also speaks to our hearts in “a still small voice;”

If we can hear God in the wilderness, we have reason to rejoice!
