GIVE EAR TO MY PRAYER

There are storms that may make us fearful;

To flee from troubles may seem wonderful!

But nothing is resolved when we flee;

We still have to face our dreaded “Enemy!”

There are times when we wish to fight;

We are prepared to battle with all our might.

But there would always be losses to bear;

These can add to life’s worries and cares.

There is a third alternative we must consider;

There is Hope of help from God to remember.

We may turn to the Lord in humble prayer;

He will help us overcome feelings of despair.

Let us pray with a faith that is strong;

God will graciously answer ere long.

We need not fear the terrors of death;

Let us cling to God with every breath.
