NOW MY SOUL IS TROUBLED
No one is spared from feeling troubled in the soul;
The fingers of death are often dreadful and cold.
Suffering is not something easy to bear at all;
It can cause the soul to wonder about God’s Call.
Jesus did the wisest thing He could have done;
He turned to His Father, for He was His Son!
He was not afraid to confront the negativity that arose;
To His precious Father, He would draw close.
He spoke to His Father in tones that are precious;
He would trust that His Father was wise and righteous.
He would always seek to glorify His Father’s name!
He would not shrink from the pain and the shame!
His Father immediately replied and powerfully;
Yes, He would glorify His own name accordingly!
Jesus need not let His soul be troubled further;
Death on the cross must be borne; The will of His Father!
