THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
What a privilege to have God as our Shepherd!
To be worried and to be fearful, would be absurd.
The Shepherd of our soul is most faithful;
Of all our needs, He is consciously mindful.
Our wonderful Shepherd leads in paths of righteousness;
But like unwise sheep we stray to places that are hazardous.
Our Shepherd seeks high and low, the wandering sheep, till He finds;
And every wound inflicted, He lovingly and tenderly binds.
Our gracious Shepherd knows that danger lurks along the way;
Some paths are dark and lonely, and we cannot see the sun’s rays.
His voice calls out tenderly to let His sheep and lambs know He is there;
He would be close by and He will watch over His flock with greatest care.
Our Shepherd alone knows the deep needs of the soul;
And only He knows how to make us truly whole.
May our hearts be moved to draw closer to the Lord!
There is truly no one more wonderful than our God!
