THE NATIONS
From the very beginning, nations seek power;
The leaders plot and plan, every waking hour.
They strategise, they compromise, for one end;
But all will try to hide their devious master-plan.
Nations have always taken the path of war and carnage;
Victims are held hostage, leaders are easily enraged.
Wickedness will find its way to the leader’s heart;
Dark deception, great atrocities will never depart!
But the nations have not reckoned carefully;
There is a great God who will judge ultimately.
He knows the hurt the poor have sustained;
Their tears and prayers would not be in vain.
No matter how powerful a nation or a man may be;
He is severely limited, for he answers to mortality!
He is but mere Man, made of dust from the ground;
The nations need not be feared for God is around!
