SUFFERING FOR THE LORD

Suffering for the Lord must be expected;

Amidst hurt and pain, we may feel dejected.

But we need not be downcast with sadness;

We can triumph and be truly victorious!

We can learn to be identified with the Saviour;

We may seek His mercy and His favour.

We will learn deep lessons through suffering;

The Lord will grant grace and His blessing.

We can even rejoice amidst suffering;

Growing stronger is truly fulfilling.
We can sense the Lord’s Presence;

Divine power is not a pretense.

Let us look forward to the Lord’s Return;

He will come with mighty angels from Heaven.

When He is revealed in all His infinite glory;

We will rejoice wonderfully in His great mercy!
